Practicing Mindfulness with Live More Magazine’s Winter 2018/2019 Issue

In today’s world, there are as many tabs open in our heads as there are on our phones, sparking a mental chaos that disrupts our ability to function to the best of our abilities. And the recently released sixth edition of Live More magazine, a health and wellness magazine John Brown Media U.S. creates for John Hancock’s Vitality program subscribers, dives headfirst into the benefits of bettering your mind.



Mindfulness is defined as a moment-by-moment awareness of your thoughts, and the feature “Make It a Mindful New Year” is filled with expert-driven tips for practicing this awareness when it comes to fitness, eating, and technology. As reported in the piece, the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine published a study in 2018 stating that Harvard researchers learned “the effects of a strong mind-body practice can actually reduce blood pressure, as well as bring about other positive health benefits.”



In addition to all things mindful, the Winter 2018/2019 issue also features original articles and useful tips focused on nutrition, travel, a guide that puts a refreshing spin on being stuck indoors, and partner content created in collaboration with Tufts University and the American Diabetes Association.
